Now, where did I put my driving goggles and duster? Ah yes, here they are! Can’t be caught dead motoring without the proper attire. Do lace up your sturdiest boots, dear. The roads can be dreadfully bumpy. Don’t forget your goggles either, and perhaps a scarf to keep the dust out.
I’ve loaded the carriage with spare parts and tools for emergency repairs. The steam engine has been triple-checked and oiled. Plenty of coal and firewood is stored to keep up steam. My navigator-automaton is wound and ready with maps. We certainly don’t want to lose our way!
For comfort on the road, I’ve packed wool blankets and a kettle for tea. Pemmican, hardtack and tinned meats will keep us fed. Oil lanterns allow us to read maps after dark. A canvas tent provides shelter should we break down in the wilderness.
Now, what shall we do to pass the long hours? I’ve got penny dreadfuls, a traveling chess set, decks of cards and a recorder for music. My journal to chronicle our exploits, of course. Perhaps you can bring other amusements?
Well, it seems we are fully prepared! The horizon beckons us forth into the unknown. Though we may encounter bandits, storms and poor roads, as long as we stick together, we shall prevail. Our carriage is loaded with all necessary provisions for survival. All that’s left is to depart!
